Lucinda Fougere - Producer

Our Dinner Theatre has been a dream in the works for almost a year now, after a rare evening out in Fort McMurray my husband while discussing how much fun we had said Fort McMurray needs a dinner theatre. Being the entrepreneur that I am I immediately saw the potential in such a venture here. I headed straight to my computer to begin research and a budget. 6 months later my secret is loose in the media and people are calling asking when and where they can get tickets. I set a date I will open on December 4th 2008.
As most of you know I also run a small bookkeeping company in town and teach small business classes at Keyano. With that business and 4 children I knew it would be a huge undertaking to open a dinner theatre but I am up to the challenge.
With every new step we accomplish I feel the reward drawing nearer. There will be another option for a night out that my husband and I can enjoy. I hope many more agree so that we may keep this company growing for many years to come. With every ticket sold and every prop painted I get just a bit closer to being able to open the doors to OUR DINNER THEATRE.
I hope you all enjoy the final product this team has prepared for you
NOW I introduce my team.

Originally from Florenceville, New Brunswick, Mike has been entertaining East Coast audiences for the past ten years. He has performed on dinner theatre stages throughout the Maritimes and he currently writes and directs for PEI’s Feast Dinner Theatres, and for McSweeney Co. in Moncton, NB. Aside from dinner theatre, Mike has performed as a singer/songwriter and standup comic; and he’s currently working on his first musical. He’s very excited to help Our Dinner Theatre bring you a taste of what has been an East Coast tradition for thirty years, and he can’t wait to see how you take this tradition and make it your own. Enjoy your night out!

Jeff Rivet hails from Edmonton. He just recently graduated the Theatre Arts program at Grant MacEwan college. He feel very blessed to be here in Fort McMurray working on his first show away from home. He has recently been in the musical productions of Little Women, Good News!, Hot Mikado, and Children of Eden with Grant MacEwan, and was also part of the Edmonton Fringe Festival with the shows Myths and Hymns, as well as Pushin’ Up Daisies: A Musical. You can also look for him as a contestant on Triple Sensation, a show searching for Canada’s best singer/actor/dancer that will be airing in 2009 on CBC. He hopes to attend the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama to achieve his masters in Musical Theatre within the next couple years. Thanks for coming out and enjoy the show!!

To all the torrential talent takers, the “Timothy” trophy is totally…tame. Many may misunderstand me for my motives are merely to make merry, not mounds of money (although it makes making merry much more easy. After dazzling dozens of directors with my dramatic disposition and dirty dancing, does it make a darned of difference? Oh, only if ones ominous outlooks are won over, based on one opinion. All I attempt to accomplish in this ’a’xistence (besides acting) is to accommodate my ancestral ‘eritage (family) with shelter and food and all such affects. Yet I yearn that y’all will en’y’oy yesterdays yodellings that yours truly and yothers will yodel. Everyone, this evening is for each endividual to enjoy! Hazzar!

Hello…? HELLLLLOOOoooooo! You should read my bio too! I may not have as much background in acting as the rest of the very talented actors here, but that doesn’t mean you should skip over my very short acting history bio. What if I said please? OKAY! Now that I have your attention I will begin by telling you how excited I am to be part of this amazing team. Second I will advise you of the “vast” amounts of plays I have been in since graduating high school. I have been in…in… uh, oh ya! Keyano’s production of “Grease” in which I played the infamous “Rizzo;” in Cara Brown’s “Entangled Liaisons” I was (I don’t think I actually had a character name) the one who sand “special” from Avenue Q on the piano, and hooked up with the bartender after hitting on all of the male characters in the play. And now for a special preview from memory lane, in high school I was granted the honour of playing “Dolly” in Composite’s production of “Hello, Dolly!” Well, I’m sure you are bored now of reading my “impressive” bio, so I will let you go now to enjoy reading the actually impressive, holy cow do these guys have a lot of acting background, I must see these amazing actors perform bio’s of the rest of the cast! See ya’ later alligator!

Well ladies and gentlemen, and it is a pleasure to be a part of such an energetic theatre company! I am a classically trained singer and actor, specializing in Opera. I’m graduating this year from Dalhousie University with a BA double major in both Music and Theatre. Suprisingly typecast in comedic roles, I’ve played characters that range from Bartolo in Mozart’s Il Nozze di Figaro and Dr. Umberto in Pergolesi’s La Serva Padronna to Lippo Fiorentino in Kurt Weill’s Street Scene. I’m also no stranger to maritime dinner theatre!

Infact, my first paid “gig” was with Petrie’s Halifax Feast Dinner Theatre in Halifax, Nova Scotia. While at the feast some of my more memorable characters were Michael “Meathead” McStivic in All in the McFamily, Robert Poulet in Cape Breton Idle 3, and the unforgettable Dorothy in the Olden Girls. I hope you’ve all come to Our Dinner Theatre to have a good time, because I know I have!
Sláinte mhaith!

I am very excited to be a part of “Our Dinner Theatre”. Having a dinner theatre in Fort McMurray will be such a great thing for the city. Personally the dinner theatre has provided a new outlet to perform in town. After graduating from Keyano’s music program, and not wanting to follow the classical route, performances were hard to find. There are so many people in the Mac who love the theatre, now they can enjoy a great meal with it. It’s this opportunity and one’s like it (IE. Keyano) that make me glad to call Fort McMurray home.

Welcome Ladeez and Gentlemen! I’m Joe Hoffman, and I’m part of Our Dinner Theatre! (Trumpet blast) Ever since I was 9, I’ve been jumping at every opportunity to get on stage and within the past couple of years I’ve developed a romance for musicals! So when the word came to town that there was a Dinner Theatre opening up that would present four comedy musicals throughout the year and the owner wanted me to come audition for her? It was a dream come true! At the age of 16! Boy, what are the odds? I hope that everyone comes to see all this fine cast’s handiwork will leave snapping their fingers, tapping their toes, humming a tune and all around jiving with enjoyment! I know I will be. Done forget the full stomachs either! Cheers!

My name is Grady Zielke, and I’ve lived in Fort McMurray all my life. I’ve been involved in music and drama almost as long, having appeared in recent years in MASC’s production of Footloose and Alice in Wonderland. I’m really excited to work at Our Dinner Theatre, and I’m hoping everyone will enjoy watching our performances as much as we have performing for them.

Yayyy, Dave is back in Alberta after about 20(+) years. When I was a kid (ok, let’s face it, I was old then too) I worked gas pipeline out of Calgary.

I’ve been working in dinner theatre for over 9 years now, mostly back east, but I am still surprised when someone new watches a show and is amazed at how much they enjoyed their 1st theatre experience.

I’ve played characters like Barney Rubble, Donald Trump, Grandpa McWalton, Kris Kringle, The Codfather, Simon Cowell and my personal favourite “Archie McBunker” among myriad other characters.

I may not show it but I was truly excited to be offered a position with this new group. It’s always exciting to be involved with something at the beginning, to be in on the ground floor.

I’m sure I’m going to enjoy myself and here’s hoping you do to.

I would like to start by saying that I am SO happy to be part of this great opportunity. I have only been in Fort McMurray for two years and I can already see how much theatre affects this city. I was part of Father Merc’s “Footloose” and I saw how much joy we brought to our audience. That is a major part of the reason why I wanted to be a part of “Our Dinner Theatre”. I wanted to help give people a getaway from reality where they can just sit, eat delicious food, and enjoy a wonderful show. I’m so excited to see you all in our audience!

“I’ve had so much fun these past months working in the dinner theatre, but before I happened upon my dream job I was in Langley, BC, focusing mainly on classical and folk voice in lessons, along with a few years of guitar under my belt. And other than the odd school show (The Wizard of Oz and Beauty and the Beast) I never had any real acting experience so when I saw the sign out front of the Quality Inn this summer I was sceptical about getting in. But here I am now, and (with the help of a very talented cast) have picked up on the ins and outs of theatre and am having the time of my life. Our Dinner Theatre has been such a blessing too this community and I hope it continues to prosper in the years to come. I am so very thankful to the wonderful people I’ve gotten the chance to work with and have learned a ton! For those of you still sceptical about the theatre let me assure you, it is a GREAT night out, HILARIOUS, good food and you’ll be leaving with stories about how embarrassed your friend Chuck or Tom was when we dragged them up on stage. Hope to see you soon and enjoy the show!”

I am so proud and excited that my mom has taken on this new project, I have been shadowing my mom all summer learning about how to start and run a business and this fall she has entrusted me with scheduling and supervising the coat check staff. I am very happy to be part of this great venture. Mom took me to my 1st dinner theatre in NS when I was 8 years old and whenever possible we would have a mother daughter night at the dinner theatre; I really loved that quality time and now we share that time working on Our Dinner Theatre. Thanks Mom. I hope everyone else loves coming to Our Dinner Theatre as much as I loved it when mom took me.
